Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Pre-sales/Business Development Manager with experience working for a design or technology consulting business. You will be researching, reaching out to, and qualifying software development and digital innovation consulting projects for a team of 50 software designers and developers in our American-European team. The ideal candidate has a passion for software, innovation, and new digital trends.

Our client is a mission-driven digital innovation agency. We offer software product design and development services, external innovation, and rapid prototyping for various industries.

We have been in business since 2012, and have been seeking digital projects that have a meaningful impact on the world: our work assists in combating sleep disorders, teaching kids with Autism, and helping the elderly live independently and safely in their homes, name a few. We have offices in San Francisco, and Cluj-Napoca, Romania, as well as a distributed business development team in the US, EU, and Ukraine. We love hackathons like TechCrunch and Junction and compete publicly every year. We also educate the community on best practices in rapid prototyping and setting up innovation capabilities.


  • You are eager to learn but you've been around the block. We’re looking for 1+ years of experience in outbound sales development, preferably in a service company (IT outsourcing, digital marketing or design agencies, product design and development firms).
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Excellent self-management skills.

Your contribution (or Responsibilities and Opportunities):

  • Work closely with client’s sales, marketing, and executive teams to optimize the inbound and outbound sales processes through quarterly planning, results-oriented evaluation, and experimentation.
  • Generate outbound leads, make the first contact, and generate interest. Use tools for data enrichment (contact details, company info).
  • Create a sequence of emails/touches for outbound outreach, adjust when needed. Regularly connect with, reach out to and follow up with relevant decision-makers on LinkedIn. Meet and exceed qualified (Budget, Authority, Need, Timing) appointments setting quota.
  • Contribute to sales strategy and team best practices. It includes but is not limited to coming up with creative ways to find and come in contact with dream leads, exploring alternative platforms for research and communication with leads, searching for ways to gain intelligence on the project opportunities and software development needs in companies.
  • Suggest topics for content creation, event/podcast speaking engagements, and other opportunities for our agency to shine.
  • Work with large volumes of contacts & meet deadlines.
