Skills Requirements:
Proficiency in API testing with Postman: The candidate should have solid experience with API testing using Postman. Familiarity with writing and running Postman scripts is a must.
Experience with automated testing: Automated testing can be a significant advantage given the complexity of the systems
Logical reasoning and problem-solving skills: The QA Engineer should have strong logical reasoning and problem-solving skills. They must be able to understand complex systems, identify potential problems, and devise comprehensive testing scenarios.
Quick learner: The QA Engineer should be able to adapt to new technologies and practices swiftly, given the dynamic nature of software development.
Excellent communication skills: Effective communication skills are crucial, as the QA Engineer will be expected to report testing results, explain technical issues, and collaborate with other team members.
Attention to detail: The QA Engineer should have a keen eye for detail, essential for catching bugs or inconsistencies in the software.
Knowledge of security testing: Familiarity with security testing practices and potentially even specific tools could be beneficial.
Nice to have skills:
Experience with Cloud platforms: Experience with Azure or similar platforms would be beneficial.
Knowledge of a programming language: Aside from JavaScript needed for Postman scripts, knowledge of an additional programming language, such as Python or Java, could be beneficial for automated tests.
SQL: Basic SQL knowledge can help perform some tasks faster
