And this is how the idea of an Accelerator came to life!

Yes! Let’s select 6 of the most promising young candidates and walk them through what tech recruitment is. Let’s prepare them with the basic skills necessary to strive and thrive in the market and show them how it feels to be surrounded by a supportive, professional team that aims for collective growth and continuous development.

What to expect from the Spring 2022 edition of the Tech Recruitment Accelerator

For 6 weeks you are going to be equipped by our mentors with the technical and practical skills you need as a technical recruiter. It’s going to be an intensive learning experience, with time equally divided between theory acquisition and hands-on applications of the information acquired. We’re going to walk you through the processes of sourcing candidates, approaching them, and using tools to ease your work, all while learning about the specificities of different IT roles and the characteristics of a variety of tech stacks.

We value your time and dedication and we know that, especially in the beginning, when things tend to be a little confusing, we all need that extra motivation to keep us going, this is why we were 100% sure from the beginning that we want this to be a paid internship. We work with some of the best tech companies and, although we are a recruitment company, we want to deliver the same employee experience and benefits as our partners from the IT market. We understand the importance of acknowledging the efforts of our team, investing in their personal and professional growth, and building a strong organizational culture that keeps employees happy, satisfied, and motivated (which inevitably leads to them being productive too).

At the end of the Accelerator, we are going to offer to the 2 most performant participants a full-time position at Human Direct, followed by providing them the great opportunity to enroll for the “Sourcing Specialists” Social Talent certification, which is recognized globally and will make their resumes stand out from the crowd in the competitive market of tech recruitment.

1. How is the payment going to be made?

We are going to make a fixed-term employment contract for the 6 weeks of the Accelerator.

2. Can this internship count as the internship requested by your university?

Absolutely yes, we can sign the internship convention for your university and it will for sure be a more complex learning experience than many are lucky to have.

What We’re Looking For

Now that you’ve gotten to know us a little bit better, here is what we’re looking for. To be more precise, who we are looking for to make our team even better. These are the main two things we’re keen on finding:

  1. A person interested or passionate about IT, who would like to learn continuously about apps, IT projects, or products on a daily basis and share this knowledge with very skilled and intelligent specialists in the IT field. In a sentence, someone really into the IT world and everything technology-related.
  2. Someone curious about getting to know people in IT better, to „crack the code” of their personalities, literally. Sort of like a master personality hacker. You got us!

Key Traits

What we would like to find in you:

  • People-oriented – want to understand the candidates and have the curiosity to follow their profile
  • Interest and affinity towards IT - the ability to understand technology and to keep up with the technology trends on the market
  • Intellectual charm - The most obvious thing you need to learn when joining a new project is the tech stack of the project/product, and you must understand the tech stack quickly
  • Proactive – address the interview questions directly, be curious, want to learn more, and evolve
  • Sense of humor – this is something that makes our teamwork; some candidates can have a sarcastic sense of humor
  • Good general knowledge – being knowledgeable in different areas of life will help you during interviews
  • Can handle difficult situations – working with so many different people can sometimes lead to misunderstandings that we need to handle like pros
  • Skilled in conversations – have a way with words, and help the candidate open up with the good vibes you’re putting out; a rich vocabulary is also a must
  • Able to approach sensible topics – negotiating a salary offer and handling counter offer discussions; money related topics
  • Patient – the kind of individual who loves solving a Rubik’s cube or playing chess; a recruitment campaign can take a while
  • Academic background in Psychology or in a related field would be appreciated
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Romanian
  • Self-Motivated, flexible, resilient, enthusiastic and joyful
