Senior DevOps Engineer

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the senior DevOps level is important in the delivery, deployment, auditing, logs analysis and continuous running of highly available and resilient distributed systems for our customers. The Senior DevOps works under general direction and is responsible for combining mature technical knowledge and skills with coaching skills to contribute to the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of the technical work completed by them and their colleagues.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Monitors availability and performance of production systems
  • Works on new tenant configuration including cloud applications and hardware
  • Acts as technical liaison with customer IT for new account setup, configuration and ongoing troubleshooting including occasional travel to customer sites
  • Maintains and evolves tooling needed by the team, business stakeholders, and quality personnel in their operational responsibilities
  • Supports security compliance activities
  • Contributes to the evolution of the organization's security posture
  • Deploys new application versions and tooling to streamline and monitor this process
  • Constructs and owns automation throughout all environments
  • Knowledge and skills are considered mature or advanced within the job family.
  • Manages large or complex activities/ projects.
  • Has full autonomy to deliver to predefined accountabilities.
  • Makes decisions requiring significant analysis and interpretation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering
  • 6-9 years relevant experience or equivalent
  • 3+ years of system administration or DevOps experience
  • 1+ years experience of cloud (Azure or AWS) experience
