As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible to keep our infrastructure in perfect shape and continuously develop and monitor it in order to provide the best experience to our customers and other departments. You will closely collaborate with developers, QA, service providers and will assist all other departments in solving technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and networking. Ideal candidates learn and adapt quickly and will be able to use every tool at their disposal to understand and effectively tackle hard problems. You will work with Linux platforms, Docker containers, Kubernetes and AWS infrastructure. We expect you to be a tech-savvy professional, who is curious about new digital technologies and aspires to combine usability with robustness and efficiency.
Your Responsibilities
- Maintain and guarantee the availability and performance of our systems
- Monitor critical systems and predict necessary changes to cope with future workload and projects
- Ensure overall health and performance of our platform, working on monitoring, issue diagnosis, and resolution
- Extend continuous deployment for software releases with zero downtime
- Collaborate with other teams to improve the deployment processes and operations procedures
- Improve security and availability of the platform
- Automate existing monitoring and maintenance processes
Your Profile
- 5+ years experience in DevOps Engineering
- Understanding of TCP/IP and general Client-Server systems
- Experience in setting up, configuring and optimizing web servers (Nginx, Apache), database clusters (NoSQL and
- traditional relational databases - PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch), operating systems (strong experience in Linux OS
- and Debian distribution in specific) and scripting experience (bash, perl, python etc.)
- Knowledge of container concepts (LXD, Docker)
- Knowledge of container orchestration (Kubernetes, Swarm) & cloud infrastructure orchestration (Mesos, DC/OS,
- Marathon)
- Experience in Deployment Automation & Orchestration (Jenkins is needed. VSTS, Octopus Deploy nice to have)
- Extensive knowledge of AWS
- Good experience with monitoring systems (setup tools, log aggregation & continuous analysis) and application
- performance management tools (Nagios, Icinga, Zabbix, Graphite, FluentD, Kibana)
- Strong system-level troubleshooting skills
- Full working proficiency in English
