Networking is crucial to succeeding as an individual, thrive in your industry, and have fun in your career.
Tom Farley, President of the New York Stock Exchange
Being usually free, giving you the opportunity to work with or/and learn from like-minded people while having fun are just some of the obvious pros of interconnecting with people who share your interests. This being said, the question is no longer whether or not networking is important, the question is how to we get the most out of our time spend connecting with others.
An example of productive networking in our Cluj IT Community was last week’s Codecamp. The Human Direct team was one of the event’s partners and happy to participate at this vibrant gathering. We attended as many sessions as we could, trying to tap a variety of subjects while enjoying the professional yet relaxed atmosphere that is usual for these types of events.
We were impressed by the technical knowhow of the speakers, but also by the high level of their presentation skills and public speaking talent.
It was a great opportunity to spend time with our partners who also attended this conference while getting up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies and predictions in the IT sector. From Cloud Infrastructure to Frontend, Backend topics, subjects regarding Automated Testing and Mobile Apps there was something for everybody. We enjoyed the talks on Microservice In Practice and the session that proved to be as daring as its title “Predict the future in 10 minutes or less - an introduction to Azure Machine Learning”.
Human Direct will make a habit out of attending Codecamp conferences as the event lived up to its expectations: a high level professional environment where you can get the latest information regarding the IT business sector, while spending quality time connecting with like-minded people.
