If you believe DevOps is the future, you’ll want to start expanding your skills — and experience — to compete for our position. While it’s great to strengthen your coding skills, and get familiar with automation tools, you’ll also want to work out on projects that allow you to exercise the skills that are at the core of DevOps:

  • Monitoring and maintaining resources on Linux or Windows or AWS platforms
  • Proficiency in authoring and managing configuration management frameworks, such as Salt,Chef or Puppet
  • Knowledge of configuring and managing CI/CD systems such as Jenkins or Bamboo
