This position will be located in our Budapest centre of excellence
What will you do?
Collaborate with different technology groups to deliver services and solutions for the technology stack
Design and implement logging, monitoring and alerting solutions, increasing system visibility and enabling faster recovery from incidents
Experience designing, building and maintaining automation and systems and tools that keep downtime at a minimum
Conduct system analysis, configuration management and develops improvements for system software performance, availability and reliability
Management of cloud architectures guaranteeing high availability, top performance and reliability
Perform system patching
Optimise systems for performance and scalability, building infrastructure and eliminating work through automation
Research and development of tooling and/or processes to enable delivery, for operations and infrastructure teams
Be involved in engineering and system operations
Design cost-effective solutions and services ensuring that value is measured, tracked and realized at the end of key delivery points
Document your system knowledge as you acquire it over time, create runbooks, and ensure critical system information is readily available to those who need it
Keep up-to date with security and proactively identify, diagnose, and solve complex security issues
How will you get here?
Experience in monitoring and analysing infrastructure performance using standard performance monitoring tools – For Example Vmware – Vrops OR Solarwinds OR Splunk
Extensive knowledge with Enterprise Server Operating Systems such as Windows server 2008 - 2019 and of enterprise deployment strategies for server OS
Extended expertise in infrastructure core components: storage, system and/or networking
Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, including familiarity with concepts such as OSI stack.
Strong understanding of Internet protocols and applications such as SMTP, DNS, HTTP, SSH, SNMP etc.
Demonstrated understanding of ITIL methodologies,
5+ years of experience in writing automation scripts, PowerShell OR Python scripting or similar technologies, ability to automate routine tasks.
5+ years of experience of supporting / managing hypervisor-based products/infrastructure (VMware)
Extensive experience to provide technology solutions across cloud-native platforms. Mainly Amazon Web Services
DevOps (Git + CI/CD pipelines) is an advantage
Experience in system patching. Altiris, BMC knowledge is an advantage
