Thermo Fisher Scientific has an exciting opportunity for a Senior DeltaV Software Engineer. This can either be based in our U KEnderby, Leicestershire/Remote, or US - California - Santa Clara site; we offer flexible home working options so please reach out to us to discuss.

What will you do?

The Software Engineer to Order (ETO) team is responsible for all aspects of design, code, and implementation of our control software product ‘TruBio’, developed on the Emerson DeltaV Platform, for the Single-Use Technologies market within BioProduction.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, document, and implementation of DeltaV software customizations in accordance with company policies, procedures and good engineering practices
  • Participate in Software and Process Design Reviews
  • Maintenance of existing software products based on the DeltaV software platforms in accordance with company policies, procedures, and good engineering practices
  • Software Support to other groups within the organization.
  • Accurately assess project risks associated with development activities
  • Accurately assess work efforts required to implement solutions
  • Other duties as assigned

Key Requirements:

  • Fluent in Emerson DeltaV design and programming including Batch
  • Knowledge of Data Architectures
  • Knowledge of Distributed Control Systems is essential
  • Highly effective verbal and written skills, including technical writing
  • BS/BA Degree. Preferably a Scientific or Engineering degree
  • Experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industries
  • Knowledge of cGMP process and requirements for software development
