The Mission

The role of the GFME (Global Financial Messaging Engine) application is to connect all their entities across the globe to the SWIFT network. As a central component in the movement of money, they are not only responsible for making money arrive at the correct destination, but also to make sure all transactions are screened for fraud or money laundry. Basically, they provide a business-critical application that comes with many technical challenges such as ~100% uptime, exactly-once processing, and a need for world-class monitoring.

As an Operations Engineer, you will:

  • Be responsible to design, evolve and maintain production platforms in GFME. That includes CI/CD pipelines, test and production environments
  • Define, design, and automate complex infrastructural tasks
  • Work with developers to continuously improve platform automation, monitoring, alerting, and stability to meet market needs with respect to functionality, performance, availability, scalability, and reliability
  • Ability to find and help fix infrastructure, performance, scalability, and other life issues in a very time-critical environment
  • Help the team recognize potential infrastructure or security issues, and create a plan to solve them
  • Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner.

  • A strong technologist who is passionate to solve large-scale computer engineering problems, in a repeatable and maintainable way
  • Experience in creating, maintaining and optimizing OpenShift/Kubernetes environments with Helm
  • Experience in creating, maintaining and optimizing CI/CD pipeline
  • Experience in managing and supporting production environments
  • Experience in managing the infrastructure of microservice based, highly distributed, scalable, concurrent and low latency systems
