The Technology department, as a whole, stretches across the UK, Romania, Singapore, and India. Their technology drives their business their Software Engineering team is of extreme importance to the success of their company and their clients. They are looking for a passionate, talented Software Engineer in Test to join their diverse, driven, and fun team.
The Role and your mission
To support the development and delivery of a high-quality software product, through effective and efficient software testing.
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Understand and apply the guiding principles of their test strategy
- Maintain and evolve the existing automation tools with a focus on reliability and efficiency
- Ensuring you and others continuously improve by proposing and then implementing new software testing and engineering practices that make your team more effective
- Tracking the progress you are making towards the wider goals of your team, and transparently communicating it to your team and all the stakeholders
- Providing guidance and insight on development techniques and methodologies
- Coaching and mentoring junior team members
Your Experience and Values
- Solid commercial experience with test automation tools
- Contributing to the development and maintenance of testing tools, automation frameworks, and quality processes that are maintainable, scalable, extensible, and reliable
- Automating for Angular and ASP.net applications
- Working with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins and Octopus
- Working in multi-disciplined teams including Software Engineering, DevOps and SysEng
Understanding of:
- Object-Oriented Programming (SOLID) fundamentals
- Debugging and general problem solving
- Agile development methodology along with full software development life cycle experience
- Proactive communication and cross-group collaboration
- Web performance, accessibility, and security
Demonstrable experience:
- C# .Net
- Selenium WebDriver
- PowerShell
- SQL scripting
- Jenkins / Octopus
- Good knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MongoDB)
- Written and verbal communication with stakeholders in English
- Git/TFS
Desired experience in:
- Angular
- JavaScript / Jasmine
- Nodejs
- Protractor
- Cypress
- Fiddler, Burp, and ZAP
- JIRA
