Job Summary

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure standard operating procedures are maintained and executed
  • Record trouble tickets and assign based upon urgency and issue
  • Perform ticket management
  • Analyzes alarms and trouble indicators to identify problem areas and escalate to appropriate parties
  • Ensure the continuous availability of all services
  • Managing, coordinating, and communicating all network maintenance/events
  • Maintain communication with all carrier partner NOCs and account management teams
  • Must take initiative and be proactive in taking on responsibility learning new products and procedures.
  • Data center tasks including racking, cabling, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Must Have Skills:

  • Associates degree or equivalent technical training
  • 1+ years of NOC experience
  • Experience in a 24 x 7 x 365 environment
  • Strong process and documentation background
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong background and understanding of voice and data protocols
  • Demonstrated proficiency in trouble shooting, analyzing and problem solving
  • Experience with managing and monitoring a multi-site enterprise environment
  • Proven ability to multi-task and work within a fast paced environment
  • Good understanding and experience with Linux/Unix platform system administration

Additional Experience:

  • Experience with a scripting language is a plus
  • Database experience (MySQL/MSSQL) is a plus
  • Strong Unix/Linux administration skills is a plus
  • Windows administration skills is a plus
  • Experience with a VoIP platform and familiarity with SIP protocol is a plus
  • Experience with a SOX compliant environment is a plus
