As our partner’s Android Developer, you’ll
Receive the full VIP treatment. That is to say, you’ll join team VIP, where you’ll get down to business with 2 fellow Android developers while vehemently trying to convert three iOS colleagues. 😉
You’ll code away on our partner’s versatile mobile SDK, which has an impressive range of authenticators, best-in-class security features, and ditto encryption technologies. An impactful role because each line of code you produce helps to ‘Fort Knox’ a CIAM solution that industry leaders like Aegon, NS, and ASR rely upon. You’ll also contribute to the app’s future course by participating in enticing R&D projects.
While our partner obviously wants to welcome an Android native, they’d be stoked if you aren’t allergic to your iOS brethren and can occasionally help them out. They are scaling ferociously AND transitioning to a product-led approach, so their work environment is fluid, and growth opportunities abound. If you aspire to a Lead role or want to channel your inner Frank Lloyd Wright, they’ll gladly plot the course with you!
What our partner believes in?
They believe in the three C's. Three, because people can’t remember four, and two is not a list! 😉 The three C's are fundamental to how they operate, both internally and externally. They always ask themselves three questions, what do they commit to? how are they going to collaborate on this? And once they have achieved this, how are they going to celebrate this?
Here is an external example. They have a new customer. They commit themselves to onboard the customer in less than 3 months, they collaborate with the customer, which means our partner needs to do things and the customer needs to do things, both need to deliver, to ensure the commitment. And upfront they define how they are going to celebrate this together, “press release, diner after go-live, etc.”.
And an internal example. Our partner company has a growth challenge. They want to onboard customers for a new innovative proposition in less than 1 month. They commit themselves to realize this, they have departments such as Engineering (adjust the product) and Professional service (standardize the onboarding), and Sales (prepare sales material) to work together on this. And upfront they decide they will go wakeboarding and have a BBQ afterward to celebrate the success once accomplished.
What do you bring to the table?
- A solid Android development track record, coupled with proven Kotlin, Java, RxJava, Retrofit, and Dagger2 skills and a keen understanding of SOLID principles
- You could probably write unit and instrumentation tests in your sleep at this point – not that you’ll ever need to (we value our rest as much as the next guy)
- Not ‘deal breakers’, but OAuth 2.0, PKI, cryptography, SAML, Firebase, ProGuard/DexGuard, and multiplatform (Cordova, Flutter, React Native) experience would propel your CV to the next dimension
- As previously mentioned, iOS coding skills could come in handy as well
- You may be a hardcore developer, but you’re not a lonesome coding cowboy: you love to contribute in a team environment and communicate like a boss
- That said, you do look sharp in a White Stetson: hacking away at fellow developers’ code is one of your hobbies
