Descriere
Our partner is a Fintech startup founded a few years ago by two young Fintech enthusiasts.
They are a B2B SaaS offering an innovative no-code platform that allows professional finance users to perform real-time analysis on huge amounts of data, create rules-based (systematic) investment strategies, and run complex financial simulations. Their clients typically manage from millions up to billions of dollars in their portfolios.
Our partner’s focus is on leading asset classes (equities/stocks, futures, fx, etc.) as well as adopting digital assets (crypto).
Their platform is delivered through a fast web app and backed by a financial/math backend running on a proprietary, cloud-native, distributed calculation engine.
They are a fully remote company, with team members from across Europe who have just completed their first external funding round and they are looking to accelerate growth this year, expanding their team and infrastructure.

What they look for:
Good command of written and verbal English, in a technical context
Comfortable working in an asynchronous, remote-first environment
Interest in working on challenging engineering problems is more commonly found in top tech or finance companies
Interest in working in a startup environment (fast-paced, more ownership and responsibility, results-focused, less structured/bureaucratic)
Interest in writing high-quality code and comprehensive testing
There is NO requirement for any finance knowledge; we will teach you what you need to know along the way
Big plus, but not a must
Past experience in a high-growth tech startup is a big plus
CS degree would be a plus, but not a must-have if there is relevant work experience to compensate
Our partners leverage automated testing (unit and some integration tests) across the frontend and backend as much as possible, using CI/CD pipelines. However, They currently still need manual checking performed prior to releasing new features or bug fixes to ensure consistency across application functions. You will be expected to initially perform many of these manual checks on an ongoing basis, and be the gatekeeper for releases. They tend to move quickly so you would be expected to integrate well into the workflow.
As you get more familiar with the platform and its functionality, you would start to automate the testing as much as possible either by using existing tools we have or by researching, setting up and managing new ones.
You will be expected to participate in development meetings, keep informed about all ongoing new feature development or bug fixes, and contribute with ideas or raise potential issues where relevant.
Over time your role could grow to have significant input into new feature design, UX, CI/CD process, and overall testing strategy. Depending on your own development, career goals, and interest in the asset management domain, your role could also evolve into a user-facing one.
Requirements
- 5y+ experience, ideally in a high-paced environment or on a complex system/platform
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are essential for this role
- You will be their first QA hire and will report to the CTO/Co-founder. You will work very closely with the CTO as well as the rest of the development team. There is a significant personal career growth opportunity as our company grows.
- No prior experience with finance (asset/wealth management) is required, but an interest in the space is a plus as you will be expected to learn about it.
