Our partner was created in response to the complex issues surrounding risk management. The designers recognized then that, to proactively measure and manage risk, it was necessary to determine the total exposure of a financial institution across all of its global activities.
Since then, our partner has helped transform the way Banks, Hedge Funds, Brokers, CCPs, and Stock Exchanges, measure their risk and manage their capital.
They are looking for an experienced front-end developer who is proficient with React.js to join their new development centre. The primary focus of the selected candidate would be on developing user interface components, implementing and executing them following well-known React.js workflows. Also, ensuring that these components and the overall application (developed from scratch) are robust and easy to manage. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality products is important.

Responsibilities / Key accountabilities
Design and develop a modern, highly responsive web-based user interface.
Developing a layout of the application and UI/UX designing at times.
Building reusable components and front-end component libraries for future use.
Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
Learn and understand user interactions.
Meeting with the development team to discuss user interface ideas and applications.
Working with product management in reviewing application requirements and interface designs.
Developing and implementing highly responsive user interface components optimized for maximum performance using React concepts across web-capable devices and browsers.
Work with other members of the team to leverage your skills.
Write, audit, and improve our test coverage.
Skills and experience
Proven 5+ years of hands-on experience in Web (and Mobile) development.
At least 2+ years of Front-end architecture experience.
Experience in React.js, Redux, Typescript, JavaScript programming
Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, JSON, AJAX, JSX, JWT (JSON Web Token)
Familiarity with front-end building process (using tools such as Webpack, Grunt etc.)
Experience with RESTful API’s, GraphQL is a plus (we have both)
Experience writing reusable and testable code using TDD with Jest, Mocha etc.
Containerisation experience using Docker.
Google Analytics or similar integration experience.
Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
Experience working in an Agile environment.
A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field.
Desirable
Certification in React JS platform
UI Design experience.
Financial markets experience.
Previous experience testing for business-critical systems within a large complex environment is a huge bonus.
