Requirements:
- Extensive experience in Linux/Unix configuration and scripting
- Skills in automating needed tasks for cluster maintenance/monitoring – DevOps background, previous experience with Jenkins, scripting is a must
- Experience with Docker or other containerization technologies
- K8s knowledge, deploying & scaling Docker containers
- Familiar with managing k8s clusters and HELM charts
- Familiar with challenges of large data sets and systems
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Basic SQL and NoSQL knowledge
Additional skills that are considered a plus:
- Experience with AWS / Hortonworks
- Experience with Terraform or Ansible
- Experience in automating large scale deployments using configuration management tools
- Experience in DB administration
Responsibilities:
- k8s cluster maintenance
- Design, implement and maintain CI/CD solutions for cross-platform and cloud applications
- Cluster performance tuning, activity monitoring, and alerting
- Cluster backup and disaster recovery
- Cluster capacity planning and job running monitoring
- Data pipeline maintenance, automatization, and deployment
- Environment virtualization including VMs and containerization
- Update, produce and maintain documentation concerning operations
