We’re looking for a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team to define and build RESTful APIs for the automotive industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in all phases of development
- Design and develop RESTful services and APIs using PHP, NodeJS, PostgreSQL, etc
- Develop software adhering to company standards and guidelines
- Write well-designed, testable code
- Conduct peer code reviews
- Document and maintain software functionality
- Contribute to evolving continuous integration and delivery
- Come up with creative solutions to challenging issues
- Work in a collaborative Agile environment both within a local team and with peers across US and China
- Engage and influence Product Management to specify the best product within engineering constraints
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of software development experience with one of the following technologies: PHP, NodeJS or Java
- 3+ years experience in designing and working with databases (SQL and NoSQL)
- 3+ years experience in developing micro services and RESTful APIS
- Technical or computer science degree or a similar qualification
- Ability to iterate and ship ideas quickly
- Exceptional troubleshooting abilities
- Strong skills in deadline management and ability to work in a team environment
- Great collaboration and communications skills (fluency in English)
ADDITIONAL SKILLS THAT ARE CONSIDERED A PLUS:
- Experience with Symfony PHP framework
- Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, ELK Stack
- Hands on unit and integration testing experience
