Our client is one of the most important automotive engineering companies in the world.
We are currently looking for a Fullstack Javascript Developer to join their team in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and supporting a web based software development kit (SDK) for the next generation infotainment systems (backend and frontend). You will work on projects that span across technologies, systems and processes where you will design, test and ship high quality code. In this role, you will collaborate with team members and clients, to build and support all necessary base blocks that enable the company to deliver high quality and innovative customer experiences. As a team member, you will have to combine Software Engineering with support skills. You are not afraid to ask for help when you need it, or to help teammates when they need a boost in circumstances like code review, feedback or creatively adapt multiple ideas into a solution.
Tasks
- Developing software for functional modules, middleware and SDK components
- Offering support for external customers with technical solutions and fixes for specific issues
- Using existing GUI and backend frameworks
- Integrating 3rd-party-products
- Developing unit tests
- Designing software modules and subsystems
- Designing and delivering technical solutions to business and product problems
- Taking ownership of initiatives and driving them through to completion
- Using Atlassian stack: Jira, Confluence, BitBucket git and Bamboo; for task management, documenting solutions, building and versioning the code
- Working with international project teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or an equivalent education
- Several years of work experience in software development and software engineering
- Good knowledge of a high-level programming language as well as of JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS
- Good knowledge of REST API and WebSocket, Node.js, TypeScript and Angular2+
- Full stack development experience is required
- Knowledge of virtual machines, containers and Docker is considered a plus
- English language is mandatory and German language is considered a plus
- Strong communication and team-working skills as well as a high affinity for delivering first-quality engineering services to the customer
- Willingness to travel
