Our client's IT Operations team is looking for an Infrastructure as Code System Engineer!
The mission: to design and deliver the platforms involved in the projects by automating as much as possible all the activities using code, from the provisioning of the machines to the tasks made available in self-service. This means:
- Design in the pre-sales phase platforms that correspond to the project requirements (performance, security, cost) and know how to evaluate the build and run load.
- Carry out the build operations of a platform in infrastructure as code.
- Elaborate a recipe before delivery of a platform to guarantee the adequacy with the practices in force at Luminess and the customer's specifications.
- Provide feedback to tech leads and/or technical experts to continuously improve practices and tools.
Key issues: respecting current practices, compliance of platforms with company practices, and respecting deadlines.
The context: committed to a policy of data sovereignty, guaranteeing our customers optimal protection of personal, health, and banking data, our teams do not work on public cloud solutions. At Luminess, you will work on our own data center solutions or Outscale partner solutions with SecNumCloud.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an IT-related specialization (or equivalent experience)
- Previous experience with Linux RedHat & Ubuntu and databases
- Familiarity with Bash and/or Powershell scripting languages
- Good interpersonal skills, team player, and a strong ability to convince
- Knowing when to step back and consider the experience of your colleagues to ensure that projects are carried out in the best possible conditions
- Good written and spoken English language skills
Nice to have:
- Experience with Terraform, Puppet, or other provisioning management tools, but you will be using Masterless Puppet when joining the team
- Experience in Infrastructure as Code
- Familiarity with Rundeck or other self-service tools, GIT and GitFlow
- Understanding the principles of continuous integration, ideally with Jenkins
- Familiarity with Nutanix and possibly other platforms
- Usage of the cloud in the IaaS model, ideally Outscale
By joining this IT Operations department, you will join a team of 30 people organized into 2 teams, Build and Run SLA, whose objective is to guarantee the operational efficiency of the department by respecting all the customer requirements. Based in France, the IT Operations department can count on the support of our subsidiary in Romania, which strengthens it in the daily deployment of its projects.
