Job Summary

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own and coordinate the performance test planning, script and framework development, environment configuration, test execution and analysis
  • Determine root causes of performance issues and provide enhancement recommendations
  • Acquire in depth technical knowledge of the products under tests
  • Work as a strong agile team player with proficiency in time management to meet deadlines and handle changing priorities

Required skills

  • A minimum of 3 years of large-scale, multi-disciplinary testing experience
  • Hands-on experience in test development using Linux and Windows
  • Knowledge in design, configuration and testing of scaled test environments
  • Ability to plan and implement performance test frameworks, plans and tests
  • Good understanding of performance metrics related to networking, database requests, HTTP requests, JVM, VMs, routers and other system components
  • Possess great communication skills in order to successfully execute meetings with business and technology teams

Desired Skills

  • Highly self-motivated individual who is able to work with minimum guidance
  • Solid understanding of performance in QA processes, software development life-cycle with ability to apply that knowledge to daily operation
  • Experience in testing SaaS applications
  • JMeter experience
  • Ability to read and understand architecture diagrams
  • Hands on experience working with production monitoring tools and analyzing monitoring results
  • Experience with Hudson/Jenkins in the automation of simple tasks
  • Software development background
  • Business analysis skills are preferred, such as gathering or interpreting requirements and working with business users
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
