Job Summary
Technical Tasks:
- Create and continuously develop/manage lifecycle of Terraform modules for the provision of cloud services/architectures (LandingZones) in the cloud (e.g. Azure Virtual Desktop LandingZone)
- Develop and improve cloud automation
- Plan, develop, deploy, and document new cloud infrastructures based on the specifications of the relevant IT architects and business departments
- Contribute to the implementation of cloud solutions within defined projects
- Setup, monitoring, and maintenance of the cloud platform including the deployed services, resources (service updates/service deprecations) and procedures
- Handover to IT operations
- Manage cloud environments based on internal security policies
- Be a subject expert for topics such as planning, rollout, and troubleshooting of provided cloud solutions, especially with a strong focus on MS Azure
Technical Skills:
- Very good experience in automation for cloud architectures (Infrastructure as Code) using Terraform or Ansible. Especially in the development and lifecycle of Terraform modules.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub.
- Solid practical experience with Microsoft Azure
- Solid experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, alternatively Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS
- Confident with infrastructure-as-code, e.g. Terraform, Ansible
- Good knowledge of scripting languages, e.g. PowerShell
Personal Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
- Related IT and/or Service Management Certifications (preferred)
- 3+ years experience in a similar role
- Familiarity with modern data engineering, integration, and modeling toolsets and languages
- Fluent English and German (C1 level) required.
- Self-motivated and proactive to perform work and continue learning.
- Distinct ability to work in a team.
- Team spirit and willingness to cooperate in an international team.
- Diligence and reliability, commitment, and team spirit as well as courage and responsibility
- Strong communication skills
- Enthusiasm for agile working based on best-practice methods, e.g. Scrum
- Occasional travel to Germany may be required
