Job Summary

About our partner

Our partner is opening its operation in Romania in Q1 2023. They consider Timisoara, Cluj, and Iasi to be the main locations of focus.

They are a leading technology company with a strong Nordic heritage and global capabilities employing over 24000 IT professionals worldwide. They are also the largest ICT provider in northern Europe. They’re building teams of professionals who accelerate customers’ digital agenda with global design, cloud, data, and software engineering capabilities.

Opening a site equals employment of IT professionals locally in Romania who then provide IT services to our partner’s Nordic customers (municipalities, banks, telco, automotive etc…). The primary competence in scope is software developers.

Based on our partner’s initial analysis, they would like to target one of the three locations: Iasi, Timisoara, and Cluj. That´s why they are approaching you with the request for cooperation and a question if you can possibly help our partner to get more information on the topics below.

Role purpose

  • To start their operations, our partner is looking for a local HR professional to support the launch.
  • Timing: from March 2023 to approx. September 2023 (with possible extension option)
  • Assignment: 40 hrs/week
  • Location: preferably Timisoara area (they will have a workspace available there)
  • Way of working: reporting line to Czechia (HRBP), hybrid working model possible (mostly home office combined with office time as per the need), the person will work independently
  • Our partner assumes to have people in multiple locations, from 30-60 FTEs by the end of 2023
  • Our partner has global fully digital tools (HR information system, time allocation tool, DocuSign etc.)

Key responsibilities

  • The level of expertise is from HR Admin to HR Generalist = operational level
  • Monthly payroll closure preparation (external payroll provider available)
  • Acting as a local “extended hand” for Romania
  • Local support of overall basic HR operations agenda (onboarding, employment changes, salary changes, terminations, off-boarding, ”paperwork”, medical checks, etc.).
  • Invoice processing, basic procurement activities
  • Employee data management and personnel folders
  • HR operational tasks including physical contact with employees (hardware pickup, document signatures)
  • Close cooperation with other HR country teams in the delivery of key HR
  • Advisory on local legal, people agenda

Expectations

  • Experience in general HR agenda (documents, basic payroll, legal) + HR systems user
  • Good knowledge of local labor law
  • Romanian and English spoken on a professional level
  • Ability to work independently, flexibility = remote role
  • Communicative (friendly approach to employees)
