Job Summary
Our partner is an ML-based tech company striving to transform the utilities sector by providing reliable production and consumption forecasts to all key utility fields (energy, gas, heating, and water). Currently, several major players on the energy market are leveraging our partner's ML algorithms in order to optimize their acquisitions. Our partner's final goal is to make the market as efficient as possible, in the meantime reducing costs for the final consumer, reducing waste, and lowering carbon emissions.
Our partner's tech team is composed of very passionate engineers, who strive to create a scalable and user-friendly platform. They all come from strong academic backgrounds (some of them have carried out research at Oxford, Cambridge, and Berkeley) and have expertise in complementary fields, to develop the company as a well-rounded product.
Our partner asked their colleagues to describe 3 things they like most about working at the company – the most recurrent aspects were:
- the work being participatory and applied, with a healthy culture of collaboration and orientation towards problem-solving;
- the clear allocation of tasks and responsibilities, and
- being able to work on the technology of great impact for the future, flexibly.
Our partner is looking to expand their team by bringing new experienced and self-driven specialists to build the company's forecasting platform together with them.
They value an engineering, hands-on spirit, above anything else. They offer continuous opportunities for building quality software in the dynamic environment fostered by the team.
They are flexible with the working schedule & also with working remotely. Currently, an ultra-modern office in Bucharest, in one of the Globalworth buildings is being specially set up for the company and will be available from August 2022.
They work with Python on the back-end ML, and with React on the front-end. The chosen architecture solution is based on micro-services and they are using AWS to achieve high standards of responsiveness, reliability, and scalability.
