The role:

We are looking for a Clinical Customer Development Manager to support PCT testing strategies to help hospitals experience efficient patient and health economic outcomes. This role is responsible for growing test volumes at hospitals across the region through targeted discovery and engagement of clinical and financial stakeholders. The person in this role establishes the clinical value and health economic impact of PCT-aided antibiotic decision-making for the management of sepsis and lower respiratory tract infections. Working closely with License Partners who sell the test to the hospital laboratory, the PCT Clinical Customer Development Manager will develop close working relationships with many large diagnostic laboratory equipment providers in the IVD market.

Position Location:

Remote based in either Denmark, Sweden, UK or the CDD site in Hemel Hampstead, UK

50% European travel - Ability to travel extensively and as needed

What you’ll do:

  • Own strategic account profiling, targeting, and development of hospitals within designated region
  • Interface with License Partners to coordinate activities associated with target accounts
  • Gain agreement from key hospital decision-makers for broad test utilization, achieve hospital-wide protocol adoption, and execute the implementation plan
  • Build relationships with Laboratory Leadership, C-suite and Clinical Leads, including Pharmacy, Infectious Disease, Emergency Medicine and Critical Care
  • Sustained engagement for early ID of KOL & clinical practice changes
  • Develop and perform client-specific health economic modeling
  • Be accountable to an annual operating growth plan as well as individual performance relating to specific leading activity metrics

What we need from you:

  • B.S.; B.A. in Health, Biology, Science or related discipline is required
  • MBA or a similar business degree preferred
  • Previous Healthcare industry experience is important with a strong preference for diagnostic lab settings related to clinical demand, customer development, or key account experience
  • Clinical/scientific background preferred
  • Experience in channel/partner management
  • Experience in working with channel or other strategic partners to develop and execute joint strategies and plans at account level
  • Proven excellent negotiation and consulting skills to achieve business results in a cross-functional healthcare market environment
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with key business partners and customers at various organizational levels to impact growth
  • Experience in business performance and forecast reporting and management.
  • Experience in sales pipeline management
  • Experience in customer segmentation and account mapping
  • Experience in Health Economics is highly preferred
  • Experience engaging and influencing decision-makers from different hospital departments such as laboratory, pharmacy, ICU, ED, and hospital administration
