Job Summary
Main responsibilities
- Design and develop automation test assets so that applications meet business requirements, system goals, fulfill end-user requirements and identify and resolve system issues
- Assist with defining effective automation framework to ensure maximum re-usability, maintainability and flexibility, potentially across multiple applications and/or test tools
- Execute automated tests in accordance with the test plan or otherwise directed
- Seek out and identify opportunities for test automation
- Assist with coordinating automated testing efforts
- Mentor and coach members of staff to improve overall testing and technical skills
- Update the Automation Team Lead and appropriate leads on progress and any blocking issues slowing or preventing progress in a timely and competent fashion
- Ensure adherence of automation and coding standards for self and others
Required skills
- 3+ Years Advanced scripting experience preferably using C#
- 4+ Years of testing in a testing related role
- Visual Studio IDE
- Working knowledge of setting up test automation API frameworks
- Design and execution of script based testing techniques
- Context-based, exploratory or scenario based testing techniques
- Working in an Agile Scrum environment
- Coaching experience
- Advanced understanding of QA process and methodology
- The ability to install and setup the software in a virtual environment
- Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Highly self-motivated and directed
- Working knowledge of multiple test automation tools
- Performance testing
- Writing complex SQL queries and using relational databases (SQL Server)
- Working with multi location teams
- Translation/localization experience
- Multilingual – Highly desirable
- Programming experience is an advantage
- Experience in testing in a Web/Enterprise environment is an advantage
- Experience with Microsoft Test Manager is an advantage
- Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server is an advantage
- Experience with Security Testing is an advantage
